How to Create a Post Thumbnail in Blogger
A post thumbnail, or post image, can make your blog posts look more visually appealing to readers. A big part of what attracts readers to your content is how it looks, and adding a post thumbnail to each of your posts can help make that happen. With just a few clicks in the blogger dashboard, you can add one to every single post you make, or save time by creating one as a template that will be applied automatically every time you create a new post. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about creating and using post thumbnails on your blog!
Step 1: Add an Image
Create your post and make sure there is an image already added. You can create images by either uploading them or by adding photos from Google images. Adding an image will automatically add a post thumbnail on your side column. Creating a post thumbnail can only be done if you have already created your post. If you are trying to create your thumbnail while editing, it wonтАЩt work and you will be required to create one before continuing on with your edit.
Step 2: Edit the Image

Once youтАЩve created your image, itтАЩs time to upload it and edit it within your post. Open your post that has yet to be published, click on HTML/text and find where you want your new featured image.
Step 3: Set the Post Thumbnail
In order to set your post thumbnail, first click on Settings located at the top right of your screen. When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear with options that vary depending on what version of blogger youтАЩre using. In my case, IтАЩm using version 4.0.5 and below is how my drop-down menu looks after clicking on Settings
Step 4: Save it as My Template
The hardest part of designing your templates is getting them just right. This postтАЩs thumbnail was pretty simple, so it only took me about 15 minutes to make. But if you want more complicated posts like list posts or product reviews, then you may have a lot more work ahead of you.
Step 5: Use the Post Thipple on Another Post
In your newest post, youтАЩll want to insert your post thumbnail. In order to do so, follow these steps: 1.Click on Edit Post at top of your screen and then select Edit HTML in drop-down menu below it. 2. Copy and paste code provided by Post Thumbnail Generator into your post. 3. Save changes by clicking Update button at bottom of page 4. Click Preview Post 5. View changes in Preview mode 6. Click Publish 7. View post with new Post Thumbnail!
